A Sporting Event Like Never Before
Where Cowboy Tradition
Rides On
For generations, the Oakdale Saddle Club Rodeo has stood as a proud symbol of western heritage, community spirit, and the cowboy way of life in the “Cowboy Capital of the World.” Founded in 1945 by local ranching and rodeo families, the Oakdale Rodeo has grown into one of California’s most respected rodeo traditions, drawing thousands of visitors each year while creating a lasting economic impact for local businesses, restaurants, hotels, and merchants throughout the Central Valley.
More than just a rodeo, this event brings the community together through tradition, volunteerism, youth involvement, and a shared passion for preserving the western lifestyle for future generations.
Operated by dedicated Saddle Club members, volunteers, and generations of local families, the Oakdale Rodeo continues to support community organizations, charities, scholarships, and local programs while showcasing world-class rodeo action, unforgettable events, and the authentic spirit of the American West that has defined Oakdale for decades.
